Between Legend of the Five Rings, Thunderstone, and Nightfall, Alderac Entertainment Group have done nothing short of making a great name for themselves among gamers. Now AEG is taking it further by looking to support friendly local gaming stores and retailers that have supported them by offering up free swag for their three major titles previously listed. In the next week to 3 weeks, they will be sending a big box of free stuff that will include the following -
- Nightfall- Promo card packs - Lisaveta Florescu and Shadow Seven
- Thunderstone- Promo Pack #2- Guardian of Strength, Stormhold, and Dragon Humanoids
- L5R - War of Honor - Ronin Tile Set
Also included (U.S. and Canada stores only) will be one GENCON PASS which will be redeemable for a 4-day Gencon Badge that will let gamers into one of, if not THE largest, analog gaming convention in the U.S. It is up to the store what they wish to do with it, but expect raffles, giveaways, or other contests.
To find out if a retailer near you qualifies (must be a ranked 1 or higher store) head over to their website and do a quick search - http://www.l5r.com/stores/. If there isn't a store near you, don't fret, as the items will be available on their website a short time after for a nominal fee.

One of the greatest things about our society is that there is always fresh content and ideas being put out there for the world to enjoy. The analog gaming industry is no different in this aspect The industry has a long and storied history that has given our and many other generations the creativity and drive to turn ideas into products that have brought families and friends closer together, and sometimes even farther apart (sorry about that John). With Kickstarter the power has been put into the hands of the common man, check out some of the latest and greatest submissions and decide whether you want to be a part of bringing these ideas to life!

If you have never heard of Kickstarter, then let me give you a quick rundown. Kickstarter is a web based funding project that allows creative individuals the opportunity to pitch their products online in an attempt to get their product published. The project will be posted and different levels of commitment are offered, which also determines what the supporter receives if the project is funded. This allows the individual to fund the design or publishing of their product, create a fan base and hype, and keep the copyrights to the property all in one fell swoop. It is a fantastic website and has already helped many inventors, designers, and others seek their dreams of publication. The following list are some of the awesome projects that can be found on Kickstarter that are looking for your support to bring to fruition and, honestly, we love the little guys.
